Lawn Aeration, Dethatching, & Fertilization
Lawn Aeration. The process of removing 1/2″ plugs of thatch and soil about 2 – 3″ long and depositing them on the lawn. It improves soil conditions and helps control thatch. It also creates a direct hole for deposit of nutrients in the root zone.
Dethatching. Improper lawn management practices contribute to thatch. A thick thatch layer contributes poor lawn health in all seasons and slows nutrient uptake. Grass clippings do not contribute to thatch build up.
Fertilization. A proper fertilization schedule is vital to the health and look of your lawn. The amount, nutrients used and time of application all contribute to a proper schedule. The use of balanced or complete fertilizers will help ensure your lawn against any potential nutrient deficiencies.
